Wildfire planning, especially for water supply agencies, is prudent for long-term ecosystem function and hazard reduction. Past projects have included planning for pre- & post-fire actions as well as post-fire mitigation and specialized projects.

Watershed planning projects involve hazard and values assessments, watershed prioritization, and targeting watersheds with specific projects to reduce hazards and/or improve watershed resilience.

These projects aim to create more resilient watersheds. The Climate Adaptation Strategies analysis identifies elements of watersheds that are most at risk from changes in climate and targets actions that work with ecological processes to reduce those hazards.

With a strong belief in the power of community, collaboration and public involvement are a priority in our work. JW Associates designs and facilitates public and collaborative group meetings in order to work towards common goals.
