Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities Wildfire Emergency Response Plan

JWA provided the City of Cheyenne's Board of Public Utilities with technical analysis and planning support for their Wildfire Emergency Response Plan. JWA first completed an analysis of hazards to watersheds and water supply by combining the analysis from the US Forest Service's Bark Beetle Incident Watershed Assessments. The results of the wildfire/watershed assessment were then used to support the Wildfire Emergency Response Planning work.

The combined wildfire/watershed assessment results are presented in a report (see public documents below) and shown in the maps below.

  • Technical analysis of bark beetle impacted areas on wildfire hazard

  • Review of post-fire remediation methods

  • Development of post-fire planning

  • Analysis of potential impacts to water quality & water collection & treatment systems
